The Greater New Orleans Medical Foundation

Orleans Parish Medical Society, together with the Orleans Medical Society Alliance, formed The Greater New Orleans Medical Foundation in August of 2004.

Our Mission & Goals
Through various education and outreach activities,
the Greater New Orleans Medical Foundation
will seek to improve the health of the citizens of the Greater New Orleans area by:

  • Educating health care professionals and the public on health care issues
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles and the well-being of the citizens of the Greater New Orleans area
  • Supporting public health initiatives in the Greater New Orleans area
  • Promoting volunteeerism among medical and health professionals

Membership Classifications & Contribution Information

Membership in the Greater New Orleans Medical Foundation, Inc. is open to anyone with an interest in supporting the mission of the organization. Membership class is based on the level of giving during the previous 12 months or over a period of five years. Active, Affiliate, Associate, Dues-Exempt, Honorary, or Resident Members of the Orleans Parish Medical Society, members of the Orleans Medical Society Alliance, and Corporate members qualify for voting membership in the Foundation.

  • Annual Member
    Contributions of $50.00 - $999.00 to the Foundation within the previous twelve months
  • Sustaining Member
    Contributions of $1,000 - $2,499 to the Foundation or undertaking to contribute $250.00 per year to the Foundation for 5 years
  • Lifetime Member
    Contributions of $2,500 - $4,999 to the Foundation or undertaking to contribute $500.00 per year to the Foundation for 5 years
  • Charter Member
    Contributions of $5,000 and up to the Foundation or undertaking to contribute $1,000.00 per year to the Foundation for 5 years
  • Corporate Member
    A Corporate Member of the Foundation is an organization, incorporated or not, either nonprofit or for-profit, which contributes at the following dues levels:
    Gold Member (at least $5,000 annually);
    Silver Member (at least $2,500 annually);
    or Bronze Member (at least $1,500 annually).

Contributions are tax deductible for 2005. Checks should be made payable to the
Greater New Orleans Medical Foundation, Inc.
