Association Management Services:
Our Core Competency An Introduction

Since 1979, Orleans Parish Medical Services Bureau, Inc. (OPMSB), has been providing an array of benefits which are complementary to and needed by physicians, their practices, and their medical/surgical associations. OPMSB has a long history of developing services and programs of value to the medical community, both locally and beyond.

In 2004, these services and products began marketing these products and services under the trade name of MD Resources. This new identity allows the organization to expand and market its services without any limitation of service area.

Since its formation, OPMSB, now MD Resources, has developed a core competency in the management of associations. We are proud to note that our very first association management client is still one of our clients - twenty-five years later! This is primarily due to the commitment of our staff to ensure that all our clients' needs are met and that there is an effective relationship established and nurtured with the members of each association that we manage, and with the Boards of those organizations.

At present, the staff of MD Resources, provide full management services by contract to nine associations. In addition, we have provided contract services to many more for well-defined project work, including membership campaign activities, and design of publications and websites.

Services offered through MD Resources' multi-management service to our clients, include, but are not limited to, administrative, administrative support, marketing/communications, and accounting support services.
