OMSA - Orleans Medical Society Alliance

Founded in July 1929, the Woman's Alliance to the Orleans Parish Medical Society has, as its objectives "to extend through its members the aims of the medical profession, to the various organizations which look to the advancement of health, education, and philanthropy; to assist in the District, State and National meetings, and promote acquaintance among doctors' families." Increasing emphasis has been placed on philanthropic projects in the educational field, and community service.
